About Us

Herd of Hope Animal Sanctuary is a small, private rescue originally founded in Greene County NY in April of 2023 and recently relocated to Schoharie County NY. Our sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing lifelong care for animals.

While we welcome a variety of animals, chickens are at the core of our mission. Often overlooked and underestimated, these intelligent and social beings deserve compassion, safety, and love. At Herd of Hope, we believe that all creatures matter, regardless their size or species.

As a private sanctuary, we offer each animal individualized attention and a peaceful place to heal and thrive. Every resident has a story, and each is treated with the respect and care they deserve. Through rescue efforts and advocacy, our mission remains simple: to be a voice for the voiceless and a light for those who need hope.
